J. H. Prynne (innate 1936) is a British poet closely associated with a British Poetry Revival.

Prynne's early influences include Charles Olson and Basil Bunting. His number one book, Click of Circumstance & More Verse form was published around 1962. His Verse form (1982) collected all the work he wanted to keep inside print. An expanded & updated version appeared inside 1999, using an additional forthcoming within 2004.

Prynne was one of a key numbers in the Cambridge group of Revival poets and was the major contributor to The English Intelligencer.

Additionally to his poetry, Prynne has published the wide range of critical & academic prose & wrote the critical essay for Just released Songs from either the Jade Terrace , an anthology of early Chinese love poetry which appeared in 1982.

Prynne occurs as Life Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. When of October 2005, he teaches English Literature as a Lecturer for Cambridge University and when Director of Studies inside Caius College, besides as existence Bibliothec of Caius College Library.
